This residential carpet training and certification is designed for experienced installers with a minimum of two (2) years of installation experience. Participants will demonstrate their hands-on skills in proper residential carpet installation techniques, including seam construction and pattern matching, and complete a written exam to evaluate their technical knowledge. Upon successful completion of both the hands-on and written evaluations, participants will earn the CFI Residential I (RI) Certification.

- Identify Basic Residential Carpet Backings and Required Installation Techniques
- Demonstrate Proper Power Stretching Techniques
- Proper Seam Construction, Including Length Grain/Cross Grain Seams
- Proper Application of Seam Sealer/Latex
- Upholster Stairs with Spindles
- Transitions
- Common Repairs
